Simone Ribeiro
Artist
Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, 1984, he has dedicated himself to painting, especially watercolor, and has participated in several exhibitions and shows in Brazil and abroad.
In 1994, he received his first guidance in botanical illustration from illustrator Dulce Nascimento. In 1995, he introduced the botanical illustration technique to the cities of Curitiba and Toledo. That same year, he won 1st place in the 6th Margaret Mee Botanical Foundation Competition – FBMM.
He held his first solo exhibition, Preserving with Art, in Curitiba, 1996.
At CIBP, he guides students in the improvement phase of botanical illustration and in the colored pencil course.
In 2012, he began the Distance Learning Diploma Course – Society of Botanical Artists – SBA – UK.; graduated with distinction in 2014.
Her works have been published in the book Plantas Brasileiras, by illustrator Dulce Nascimento, 2012, and in the book Arte Botânica do Paraná, of which she was executive producer, 2014.
Her work Flores do Jardim decorates the Porcelanas Germer tableware line, 2013.
