NOTICE OF OPENING FOR THE FREE COURSE
BASICS OF BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION
1st Semester 2025
1. Objective
This notice aims to select candidates for the Free Basic Course in Botanical Illustration, in the in-person modality, promoted by the Botanical Illustration Center of Paraná. The course aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge about botanical illustration techniques.
2. Target audience
The course is aimed at artists, students, botanists and others interested in botanical illustration.
3. Eligibility
3.1. Minimum age: 18 years.
4. Registration
4.1. Registration period: until February 15, 2025.
4.2. Registration: link to online form can be found at the end of this document.
4.3. Required documents: filling out the online application form.
5. Selection
5.1. Drawing test
Candidates will be invited to make an observation drawing based on models presented by the teaching supervisors, at the Botanical Illustration Center of Paraná.
The test will last 1h30.
Date, time and place: the test will be held on February 22, 2025 , time chosen by the candidate when filling out the form (link at the end of this notice) , at the Botanical Illustration Center of Paraná, located at Rua Engenheiro Ostoja Roguski, 690.
Materials: the materials required for the test will be provided by the institution.
5.2. Announcement of selected candidates:
Candidates will receive the result by email on February 27, 2025.
6. Course
6.1. Duration: 8 months, divided into 2 academic semesters of 48 hours/class each.
6.2. Structure: 1 class per week lasting 3 hours
6.2. Start of classes: March 2025.
6.3. Location: Paraná Botanical Illustration Center, located at Rua Engenheiro Ostoja Roguski, 690.
6.5. Total workload: 96 class hours.
6.6. Vacancies: 8 vacancies per class

6.8. Certification:
A certificate of completion will be issued to participants with a minimum attendance of 90%. Three unjustified absences will result in loss of place.
